Cambridge JV Boy’s Golf Dominate Hooch Invitational

Cambridge JV Boy’s Golf Dominate Hooch Invitational

The Bears junior varsity boy's golf team arrived at the Hooch Golf Club in Duluth Tuesday April 1st, anticipating a match against St. Pius.

April Fools.

Due to a scheduling issue, Cambridge instead found itself in a four-way match with St. Pius, Westminster and Wesleyan.

Well, the Bears were not in a joking mood.  Cambridge shot a sizzling 138 on the par-31 front nine to easily outdistance the pack.  St. Pius posted a 157 followed by Westminster with a 163 and Wesleyan at 179.

Sophomore Robert Berman led the way for the Bears with a 33.  The freshman trio of Matt Leemann, Robbie Bentley and Brad Plaziak backed up Berman with rounds of 34, 35 and 36, respectively.  Austin Stachowski returned from injury to post a 38 in his first match of the season and A.J. Klabnik shot 40.
