Freshman Brad Plaziak shot a team-best 78 as the Cambridge junior varsity boy's golf team debuted by matching Columbus with a score of 323 Saturday, March 8th in the Central High School Junior Varsity Invitational Golf Tournament in Phenix City, Alabama.
Despite tying for top honors in the 10-team field, the Bears had to settle for a second-place finish because the tie breaker favored Columbus.
Also scoring for Cambridge were sophomore Sutton Dunwoodie and freshman Robbie Bentley, each of whom posted an 80. Sophomore AJ Klabnik, who shot a solid 36 on the back nine, finished at 85. Freshman Matthew Leemann and sophomore Robert Berman finished at 87 and 92, respectively.
The Bears will be in action again on Thursday, March 20th when they travel to Brookfield West to meet Blessed Trinity.
