Lady Bears Tennis Wins over Pope 4-1

Lady Bears Tennis Wins over Pope 4-1

The Cambridge Bears women's tennis team won an important region match against a very good Pope team on Thursday in windy conditions.

The matches were all very close.  Karah James at one singles won in a very close match that went to a third set tie break.  Hannah Walden at two singles fought hard but fell a little short against a tough opponent.

Kayla Rycroft at three singles played very well with several amazing serves.  Brenna Feirer and Kiley Dempsey at one doubles were on fire at the net and dominated with their overheads. Alyssa McDonald and Paige Delaperriere played fantastic and got a win early in!  Finally, Lily Niebur had an easy match at exhibition with several great points.

The Lady Bears are undefeated in the region and will try to keep that record going in their match on Thursday, March 14th at home against Sequoyah.
