Lady Bears Regular Season Wrap-Up
March Towards First State Title Begins Tuesday
The Lady Bears concluded their 2025 season on Friday night at Walton. An injured and ill squad didn't have enough juice to overcome a very talented Walton team, falling 2-0.
After a 16-day break, it was a "good loss" in that a depleted squad got their sea legs back against one of the top teams in the state. All available Lady Bears saw the field as well, including JV call-ups Emily Spencer and Emma Hunt, who shut out Walton in the second half.
For the season, the Lady Bears finished 13-4-0 with a 7-1-0 region record.
Some season call-outs:
- Three players scored over 10 goals for the season, with the diabolical Reed Tingley (31), Piper Preiss (11), and Chandler Browning (10) leading the way. Four different Lady Bears had hat tricks or 4-goal outings, including the aforementioned Tingley and Preiss, as well as Maddie Klingenspor and Zoe Graham.
- Assist leaders were the diabolical Tingley again (11), with Aspyn Stucke (9) and defender Sienna Solomonson (7) with strong numbers. Both Stucke and Solomonson had hat trick assist games.
- Anna Cate Servine kept 7 clean sheets to go along with countless incredible saves.
- The Lady Bears defeated highly ranked teams in Scorboard's coach's poll, including BT (#1 in 4A), Pope (#2 in 5A), and Lovett (#2 in AA private).
With the regular season coming to a close, focus now shifts to the playoffs. The Lady Bears begin their playoff run on Tuesday the 22nd at Cambridge against Southeast Whitfield at 6pm. Please come out and support the team as they go for their first state title.
