The Cambridge Girls JV Soccer team traveled to Norcross on Thursday, March 10th, and defeated the Blue Devils by a score of 2-1!

The 1st half was an evenly matched half. Each team playing a very aggressive defensive half final 0-0.

With second half beginning at 31 minutes, Cat Powers #32 scores for the Lady Bears, Cambridge leading 1-0.  Lady Blue Devils knocked on the door hard taking it down the middle and a hard shot on goal, but GK Anna Johnson #0 denied their opportunity to tie it up.

At 22 minutes, Cat Powers #32 tries for another score barely missing. At 19 minutes with a scramble in the box shot Norcoss scores to tie up the game 1-1. At 17 minutes Cat Powers #32 aims for the corner on a direct kick scoring for the Lady Bears 2-1.

From here on out the Lady Blue Devils were very aggressive but couldn't come up with the tying score.  At 9:19 Isabella Godby #28 scores a beautiful shot, unfortunately the referee calls offsides at the last minute. With a minute left Shannon Royer # 34 takes a beautiful shot that barely misses for another goal for Cambridge.

Final score 2-1, Cambridge wins.

Cambridge GJV travel to Northview on Monday, March 14th.
