EIGHT PERSONAL RECORDS SET
CAMBRIDGE BEARS SET A NUMBER OF PERSONAL BESTS - GIRLS WIN THE MEET
 
On March 14, the Cambridge track and field team went to Sequoyah High School to compete in a small meet against six other teams. The weather was warm and the athletes had a number of top finishes and personal records. The girls were particularly strong in numerous events and managed to earn the first place trophy at the meet. The boys, although missing a few key athletes, managed to set numerous personal records.
 
Some of the top finishes at the meet included:
 
Girls -
 
Kennedy Williams won the 100 meters and the 200 meters.
 
Ella Alberici won the 800 meters and the 1600 meters.
 
Taylor Lasoff leaped to a second place performance in the long jump, was third in the 100 meters, and was fifth in the 300 meter hurdles.
 
Linden Donner raced to a second place performance in the 400 meters (personal record) and eighth place in the 800 meters.
 
Sarai Adeoso was fourth in the 100 meters and third in the 200 meters.
 
Charlotte Brown finished second in the high jump (personal record) and eighth in the 400 meters.
 
Karsen Williams was third in the high jump ,(personal record) and seventh in the 300 meter hurdles (personal record,).
 
Kacy Queen was seventh in the 3200 meters.
 
Penelope Pilling finished eighth in the discus (personal record)..
 
Sophia Ash was seventh in the 1600 meters.
 
In addition, the 4x100 meter relay won the event, and the 4x200 meter relay and the 4x400 meter relay raced to second place finishes.
 
Boys -
 
Grant Campbell was second in the high jump, fifth in the 100 meters, and seventh in the 200 meters.
 
Dakota Holt-Pledger was fifth in the high jump and second in the long jump (personal record and the fourth person to jump over 21 feet in school history).
 
Louie Madrid raced to a second place finish in the 400 meters.
 
Luke Gibbons leaped to a third place finish in triple jump (personal record).
 
Andrew Bollenbacher finished second in the pole vault (personal record).
 
Will Powell finished third in the shot put.
 
Harris Carr finished fifth in the shot put.
 
Corbin Phillips sprinted to fourth place finish in the 100 meters (personal record).
 
William Morrison finished fifth in the 400 meters.
 
Anderson Mugg finished seventh in the 800 meters.
 
Jack Markham finished fifth in the 3200 meters.
 
Colton Spencer finished sixth in the 1600 meters 
 
Jack Schneider finished seventh in the 2600 meters.
 
The 4x400 meter relay finished fourth and the 4x100 meter relay finished third.
 
The team prepares to work hard this week and travel on Saturday to the Roswell Rotary Relays against nearly 30 teams.
