MILTON SHOWCASE: Season Bests and a New School Record

CAMBRIDGE BEARS CONTINUE TO EXCEL

 
On March 1, the Cambridge Bears went to Milton High School for the highly anticipated track & field meet against more than 25 teams. The warmest weather of the season inspired the team to numerous season best performances, including a school record. The final results showed the boys finishing second, and the girls finishing third.
 
As a top 4A team, the team scored in a number of areas. Some of the noteworthy individual efforts included the following;
 
GIRLS
 
Kennedy Williams (fourth in the 100 meters) - PR
 
Kai McCarley (second in the 400 meters) - PR and leading time in 4A
 
Linden Donner (third in the 800 meters) - PR
 
Lilah Versluis (won the long jump and the high jump) - both marks lead the state in 4A
 
Lauren Tindle (third in the 5k)
 
Ella Alberici (second in the 2 mile run)
 
 
BOYS
 
Cameron Parodi (won the 100 meters - third Cambridge athlete to ever go under 11 seconds) - PR
 
Craig Dandridge - (third in the 100 meters) - PR
 
Ibrahim Bangura - (won the 110 meter hurdles and was third in the 400 meter hurdles) - both are leading marks in 4A - PR
 
Mavric Gould - (seventh in the 800 meters) - PR
 
Grayson Peterson (third in the 1500 meters) - the leading mark in 4A - school record - PR
 
Grey Donner - (seventh in the 1500 meters) - PR
 
Ethan Umberger - (fifth in the long jump) - fourth Cambridge athlete to jump 20' - PR
 
Jad Meliani -(seventh in the long jump) - PR
 
Rohan Lidhar - (seventh in the triple jump)
 
Mohamed Bangura - (sixth in the high jump)
 
Thomas Egan - (third in the discus) - PR
 
Pierson Delp - (seventh in the discus)
 
Francisco Palacios-Rodriguez - (won the two mile run) - PR
 
Aidan McHugh - (fourth in the two mile run)
 
In addition, the girls 4x100 meter relay finished third and the 4x200 meter relay finished second. The boys 4x100 meter relay finished fourth; the sprint medley relay finished sixth; and the 4x200 meter relay finished second. The girl's 4x200 meter relay mark currently leads 4A.
 
The team next travels to River Ridge High School on Saturday.
