The Cambridge Varsity Lady Bears took to the home field against North Springs Thursday night, August 27th.  

Starting pitcher Keara Napoli struck out the side in the top of the 1st inning to get the game started.  In the bottom of the 1st inning, hits from Lily Valeo, Mariah Kubik, Keara Napoli, and Lindsey Smith put a quick three runs on the board.  

Pitcher Napoli continued to be a force on the mound with another 6 strikeouts in the next two innings. An amazing 24 of Napoli's first pitches were strikes.  

Hits from Heather Kipniss, Becca Cleypool, Keara Napoli, Lily Valeo, Mariah Kubik with a triple, Taylor Greene with a double, and the score was quickly 8-0.  

Pitcher Anna Allen relieved in the top of the 5th inning and held on to the win. Great pitching, along with solid defense, and the Bears win by a run rule 8-0. 

Next up, the Lady Bears travel to Riverwood Monday, August 31st for a 5:55pm game.
