Lady Bears Varsity Softball Opens 2015 Season with 3 Shutout Victories

The Lady Bears first game of the season was at home against Forsyth Central High School, Tuesday, August 11th. The Bears won in a shutout 9-0.  

The Bears came out hitting this first game with hits from Abigail Wilson, Keara Napoli, Taylor "Taco" Greene and a nice double from Mariah Kubik the Bears jump out early in the first inning with a score of 3-0.  

Jensen Cheshire getting a solid hit in the second inning along with Abigail Wilson to bring in another run, the bats stay hot and Lily Valeo, Courtney Campbell and Becca Cleypool all getting hits and bringing in runs.  

On defense, Forsyth Central struggled against Keara Napoli's pitching with 11 batters striking out and only two hits this game and terrific defense with put outs by Abigail Wilson, Courtney Campbell, and Lily Valeo this game was all Bears!   

What a great start to the season!

On Wednesday, August 12th, the Bears traveled to Milton High School. With a sell out crowd in attendance the Bears again came out strong with a win of 8-0.  
Pitcher Keara Napoli threw another fantastic game striking out 10 batters and only giving up two hits. The defense played strong, Courtney Campbell playing solid at first and outs made by Lily Valeo and Mariah Kubik kept the Eagles from scoring any runs against the mighty Bears!
 
Solid hits were also made for the Bears including home runs by Keara Napoli and Taylor "Taco" Greene in the top of the second inning. Mariah Kubik has two nice singles and two doubles in the game along with hits from Abigail Wilson, Lily Valeo, Courtney Campbell, Jensen Cheshire, and Becca Cleypool.

The third game of the season was at home against Kell High School on Thursday August 13th. The Bears won in a another shutout 8-0.  

Pitcher Keara Napoli for the Bears had 9 strikeouts and only giving up 4 hits with no runs scored with the help of the Bears solid defense. The Bears came out hitting this game with hits from Abigail WilsonLily ValeoCourtney Campbell, Keara Napoli, Mariah Kubik, Lindsey Z Smith, Becca Cleypool, and Heather Kipniss.

*The Buford Game has been rescheduled for September 9th  at home... Varsity @5:30 JV @ 7:00
