The Cherokee Warriors handed the Lady Bears their second loss of the season on Wednesday night, September 4th at Cherokee by a score of 2 - 0.  

It was a hard fought battle, or better called, a pitcher's duel for the first 4 innings.  Freshman pitcher, Keara Napoli, had a perfect game going through 3 innings, including 6 strike outs.  However, the Warriors pitcher matched this battle with 5 strike outs of her own through 3 innings to keep the score knotted at zeros.  

But the Warriors would break it open in the 5th inning with a series of successful bunts to score 2 runs.  The Bears defense stiffened to shut down the rally from a bases loaded, no outs situation to end the inning.  

Defense would again be the story through the final two innings and the game ended with a heart breaking 2 - 0 loss for the Lady Bears.  

The Lady Bears will try to get back on the win track by defending their 6 - 2 record at home against Kell on Tuesday, September 10, at 5:30.
