The Cambridge Boys Varsity Golf Team placed a respectable 3rd place out of 16 teams in Monday's Big Red Shootout Golf Tournament at Chattahoochee Country Club in Gainesville.
In frigid and windy conditions with temps in the 30's, the boys held their own in the Stableford format competition, which tallies up points for pars, birdies and eagles with deductions for bogeys and worse.
Scoring was led by Juniors Evan Goldfuss and Chris Meyer who each complied 34 points and earned All-Tournament Honors.
Others scores posted were: Soph. Ryan Stachler (31), Jr. Thomas Pettigrew (29) and Jr. Kaelen Golden (20).
The Bears Boys tee it up next on Wednesday at The Champions Invite at prestigious Ansley Golf Club at Settindown Creek.
