Another Successful Week for 8-2 Lady Bears Varsity Lacrosse Program

Another Successful Week for 8-2 Lady Bears Varsity Lacrosse Program

On the road against the North Forsyth Raiders on Monday, March 13th, the Lady Bears shut down the Raiders by a score of 19-4.  The Lady Bears jumped out to a fast start and never looked back as both defense and offense took control of the game.  Ally Schnetzka, Hunter Hoard, Jolie Blohm, Claire Xiao and Abby Edmisten led the team with multiple controlled loose balls to help turn this game into a rout for the Lady Bears.

Later in the week on Friday, March 17th, the Lady Bears took on visiting Ohio High School State Champs, Upper Arlington High School, and in a tightly held contest suffered their second defeat of the season snapping their winning streak at 7.   The Lady Bears lost 11-8 despite strong performances by Lexi Jack and Belle Dora

More recently, the Lady Bears took revenge on nemesis Kell High School defeating Kell 16-10 on Tuesday, March 21st.  This game had special meaning for the Lady Bears as Kell had previously thwarted the Lady Bears' attempts in the past 2 years to advance past the semi-finals to the State Championship game.  The Lady Bears had 8 players score on the night and Junior Landyn White had a season high 13 saves.   Isabel Shin also had a season high 3 goals.

In the late night game, the Lady Bears Junior Varsity Team defeated the Kell's Junior Varsity team in a nail biter to improve their record to 6-3 for the season.  Abi Bierne's caused turnover late in the game led to the Lady Bears victory with the winning goal scored in the final minutes.  Belle Bruen and Tess Abraham stepped up big time and created havoc on the defensive end to help secure the victory.

Go Bears!
