Cambridge High School held their 2nd Annual Color Run on October 21, 2017.
The run was another huge success, drawing over 400 runners, donating a portion of the proceeds to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in honor of Matthew LeMoyne and raising funds for the DECA, Girls' Basketball, and Girls' Lacrosse programs at Cambridge High School.
The atmosphere during the event was electric and energizing, and with this atmosphere before the home football game against Alpharetta later that night, the Color Run provided the perfect introduction into Homecoming Weekend. Cambridge first targeted their students to sign up for the run, but it quickly progressed into a community wide event, including local middle school and elementary school kids. With this broad array of a target market, the Color Run was able to bring an entire community to support the local high school and also to support the football team as well later that night.
Runners received a t-shirt and free entry into the football game against Alpharetta, and also participated in the run. The big sponsors of the run include Veronica Stone Salon and King & Spalding LLC. Huntington Learning Center, Cambridge Girls Youth Lacrosse and Functional Medicine Georgia were also sponsors that were critical to the success of the run being put on.
Cambridge plans to have the Color Run again next year, and plans to make it a tradition for everyone involved in the high school.
